i wake up to you whimpering on your side of the bed, rolled and clutching a pillow in your arms.
you're naked from the night before, welts raised up and turning shades of purple and blue.
there are a few yellow ones, your damaged skin quivering beneath my fingertips as i whisper that
i am rarely ever sorry for the damage that i do to you (it makes you unique).
i pour the first drink of the day, then the second, soon it's the third and you haven't even come out of our bedroom yet.
don't ruin this for yourself, i'll strangle you.
